Year 4 have been reading Beowulf . We have built Anglo Saxon villages and written our own legends based on Beowulf.
After reading Beowulf , the children could identify Beowulf's heroic traits, generalise from these traits a list of typical traits for heroes and then use these traits to compare Beowulf with contemporary heroes.
