How are nutrients transported and absorbed through the body?
The children have been learning about the way nutrients are transported around our body. They conducted an investigation into how nutrients are absorbed into the blood stream using skittles. The skittle represented the nutrients and this showed them the way nutrients diffuse into the blood stream and then are absorbed through the walls of the intestines.
