Grandma’s Snug, the new Sandbrook library, is now ready for visitors! The Snug has been decorated in the style of a comfortable, old-fashioned sitting room in order to create a very cosy and relaxed reading environment for our children and staff.

On Monday afternoon, Nursery were first to share a story with their teacher, Miss Copeland. The Snug is being looked after by a group of enthusiastic Year 6 librarians who are responsible for managing book returns and for keeping everything organised.

Every month, the beautiful Welsh dresser in the Snug will showcase a range of quality texts based around a genre or theme. These books will be curated by staff and children with the aim of developing our knowledge of children’s literature. 

SLT and our Head Boy, Head Girl and Deputy Heads have curated the first display for Black History Month. I’m sure you will agree that it looks absolutely fabulous! We can’t wait to share all the wonderful books on show!
