Understanding of the World
At Sandbrook we aim for our children to become competent learners who are independent, inquisitive, resilient and curious about the world around them. With a strong emphasis on first hand experiences, we aim to develop a sense of ‘awe and wonder’ through a range of captivating opportunities, many of which utilises our fantastic outdoor provision. Through our curriculum, children learn to observe, question and solve problems. They learn about significant figures from the past and begin to understand chronology. They develop their understanding of their own and contrasting environments.
